Privacy Policy

Effective October 18, 2026

Lawrence Kansas Radon ("we", "us") operates lawrencekansasradon.com, an online referral service that connects homeowners with local, independent, KDHE certified radon testing and mitigation professionals. We are not a radon contractor. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and who receives it.

Information we collect

  • Information you submit. Your name, phone number, email address if you provide one, ZIP code, the service you need, and anything you add in the details box, such as a radon test result.
  • Technical information. Your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, which our hosting and security provider records in routine server logs.

How we use it

We use your information to route your request to a radon professional, to contact you about it, to run and secure the site, and to meet legal obligations.

Who receives it

  • A local, independent radon professional. We send your request, including your contact details, to a local, independent radon professional certified by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), so they can contact you about testing or mitigation. We may receive compensation from them for referrals.
  • Service providers. Companies that host this site, process form submissions and deliver email on our behalf.
  • Legal and business reasons. Authorities or other parties where the law requires it, and a buyer or successor if our business changes hands.

What happens after we share your information

Once a radon professional receives your request, that professional decides how to use, store and share your information, and their own privacy practices apply. We do not control those practices. Ask the professional directly if you want to know how they handle your information or want them to stop contacting you.

Calls and text messages

If you provide a phone number and check the consent box on our form, we and the radon professional we share your request with may call or text you about your request, including with automated technology. Consent is not a condition of buying any service. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to any text to end text messages, and you can tell us or the professional at any time that you no longer want to be contacted.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use advertising cookies. Our hosting and security provider may use technical cookies or similar tools to deliver and protect the site. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused tool that counts page visits without cookies and without tracking you across other sites.

When you submit our form, we also record which page of our site you submitted it from, so we can understand which pages are helpful.

Retention and security

We keep your information as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of sending or storing information online is completely secure.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sharing and contacting you, by emailing privacy@lawrencekansasradon.com. Residents of some states have additional privacy rights, and we will honor requests as the law requires. We can act on information we hold, but we cannot delete information held by a radon professional you were referred to, so contact them directly as well.

Children

This site is for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
